Analysis of the New Season Affixes and Mechanics in Battle for the Heart of the Earth

The new seasonal affix, "Sargeras's Deal," will start appearing at level 2 in Mythic+ dungeons. This affix introduces mechanics that players must handle, and successfully managing them will grant positive buffs to the whole party.

At level 4, either the "Fortified" or "Tyrannical" affix will be added, which will function the same as in the current version, enhancing either trash mobs or bosses. These two affixes will alternate weekly.

At level 10, the affix that wasn't applied at level 4 (either "Fortified" or "Tyrannical") is added. Starting from level 10, both affixes will be active each week.

At level 12, the "Deal" affix is replaced with the "Sargeras's Cunning" affix, which increases all enemy health and damage by 20%. This means that starting from level 12, difficulty increases by about 32% (with a 10% scaling per level and a 20% from the new affix). Beyond level 12, the difficulty will remain the same each week.

Sargeras's Deal Affix Effects:

1. Sargeras's Deal: Ascension Ten "Ascension Orbs" will appear around Sargeras in a 10-yard radius over 3 seconds. The orbs spawn in sequence, not all at once.

The orbs will channel a 3-second "Ascension" cast. If the cast completes, all enemies gain a 10% haste and 10% movement speed buff for 20 seconds, which can stack.

Successfully interrupting (via knockbacks, stuns, or interrupts) or using offensive dispels will destroy the orbs, which have a 3 million absorb shield and cannot be killed through damage.

Each destroyed orb grants the party a 2% haste and 2% movement speed buff for 20 seconds, stackable.

Note: The staggered spawn of orbs makes it difficult to use a single crowd control to handle all of them simultaneously. If out of combat, the orbs will automatically despawn.

2. Sargeras's Deal: Void Binding A "Void Envoy" spawns at the tank's location and must be killed. The envoy does not attack but follows the highest aggro player.

It casts "Dark Prayer," which reduces all enemies' damage taken by 10% every 3 seconds, stacking up to 9 times.

The Void Envoy has only 1 HP but a 1 billion absorb shield (not affected by Fortified/Tyrannical). Spells like "Execute," "Touch of Death," or other low-health burst abilities can quickly dispatch it.

Once killed, the party gains 10% critical strike chance and 20% cooldown reduction for 20 seconds. If not killed within 40 seconds, the envoy will despawn, but the enemy damage reduction remains for 20 seconds.

3. Sargeras's Deal: Annihilation Ten dark orbs spawn and fly towards enemies, requiring players to intercept them (similar to the orb mechanic from a previous boss fight).

If an enemy absorbs an orb, it gains a 10% damage buff for 20 seconds, stackable. If a player intercepts the orb, the party receives a 2% mastery and 2% leech buff for 20 seconds, stackable.

4. Sargeras's Deal: Devouring All players receive a debuff that deals 1% of their maximum health as damage every second for 15 seconds.

The debuff can be removed by:

Defensive dispels (poison, disease, or magic cleanses)

Receiving 2 million healing.

If the debuff is not removed after 15 seconds, enemies will regenerate 2% health every 2 seconds for 10 seconds, stackable.

If dispelled, the party gains 4% critical strike chance and 2% maximum health for 20 seconds, stackable.

Players will need to coordinate mixed-class dispels or heal through the debuff. Healing the debuff does not interfere with regular healing mechanics.
